FC DISC

Bolted joints are without a doubt the most commonly used joints in the industry. Attaining the proper tensioning is essential to guarantee the reliability of the fixture. 85% to 90% of all bolted joint failures are caused by the application of the improper tensioning during installation.

The FC DISC is a new, highly accurate indicator of applied tension. The FC DISC has an integrated disc-spring with a deflection that is linear to the applied force. Each available size of the FC DISC has a specifically tailored spring to ensure it has an optimal force/deflection curve.

The FC DISC also increases the bolt’s elasticity.

The FC DISC can be fabricated from a range of different materials including (but not limited to) H13, 17-4 PH, 17-7 PH and Inconel. This ensures that the FC DISC can be used for any application.

The FC DISC is available in sizes from 1/2″ to 2 1/2″and from M12 to M64. Any desired sizes outside of this range can be ordered, and specifically made, upon inquiry.
