History

Stokvis Trading BV was founded in 1979 by Frank Stokvis. In these early days, the company operated out of a small workshop on Klapeistraat in Oosterhout. A few years later the company moved to a larger building in the same community on Kanaalstraat to keep up with it’s growing clientele. In the early years, the company mainly dealt in “standard” materials within the DIN norms. However, the assortment was expanded quickly to include “specials”, fasteners specifically made with according to drawings or samples supplied by the clients. Over the years Stokvis began to specialise in products within the ASTM norms as well. Nowadays Stokvis Trading BV has become a true specialist with ASTM and has grown into one of the largest suppliers in the Benelux.

In order to continue providing the high quality service our costumers have become acquainted with, the decision was made in 2019 to move to a brand new warehouse. The primary reasons for this were improved accessibility, more space and a better working environment. This meant that, in late 2020, the company would leave Oosterhout and continue it’s operations in Gilze, in the municipality Gilze en Rijen, right next to the A-58. With this new expanded location up and running, Stokvis Trading BV is ready to face the future.
